Academy of Culinary Arts

The Academy of Culinary Arts is one of Britain 's leading professional associations of head chefs, restaurant managers and quality food service suppliers.   Its principal function is to promote public awareness and appreciation of the highest standards of food, cooking and service by example and education.

The Worshipful Company of Cooks sponsors the Academy’s ‘Adopt a School’ programme. The programme comprises of special workshops that introduce ‘real’ food to children so that they may consider food more closely, understand about food provenance and learn basic food preparation skills. Chefs of the Academy give their time voluntarily to the programme, passing on their enthusiasm to the next generation of budding chefs.
