Charitable activities

From a ten year sponsorship of the Centre for Culinary Research, Bournemouth University and the provision a ‘bronze teapot’ catering unit for St. John Ambulance to supporting the publication of a menu book for people undergoing chemotherapy, the Worshipful Company of Cooks responds to a wide variety of charitable needs related to catering through its Charity Committee and Fund.

The objects of the charity are twofold:

The advancement of the education and general welfare of persons who are in any way associated with the catering trade.

The support of any charitable purpose associated with the City of London.

Applications for grants, awards or donations are assessed on their merit in the light of these two principle guidelines.
